In response to an alleged assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, billionaire Elon Musk raised a provocative question: Why has no one attempted to assassinate current President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris? Trump was reportedly targeted during an incident on Sunday at his Florida golf course, with law enforcement confirming that the Republican candidate was unharmed.

According to the FBI, Secret Service agents fired at a gunman near Trump's golf course, recovering an "AK-47 style rifle" and a GoPro camera. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, an open supporter of Trump, responded on social media platform X, asking: "And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala."

Authorities are still investigating whether the gunman, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, fired in Trump's direction. The suspect was reportedly hiding in the bushes near the golf course, prompting Secret Service agents to fire on him. "We're unsure if the individual managed to take a shot at our agents," said Rafael Barros of the Secret Service.

The FBI is continuing its investigation, referring to the incident as an "attempted assassination" of Trump. Officials have praised the swift action of the Secret Service, which has come under scrutiny following past incidents involving the former president.
